If you've been following us for a while, you might know that some of us in the band are big fans of anime. One day, all the way back in 2021, we found out about the existence of a track that immediatly caught our attention : a musical piece coming from the original soundtrack to the anime Yu-Gi-Oh ! That track was called... Kami no ikari ! Out of curiosity, we listened to the track. We liked it so much that we decided to do something with it...

What you're about to hear is not really a cover song (the original piece does not feature any lyrics). We used the original theme composed by Shinkichi Mitsumune as the foundation of our song. We then wrote brand new guitar, bass and drum parts on top of it. The orchestrations were once again written by Francesco Ferrini who added his personnal touch to the whole thing. Furthermore, our song features a verse and a breakdown that did not exist in the original track. And last but not least, the lyrics are 100% Kami made.

Our original plan was to make this song the title track of our first album. But because the song is partly based on some pre-existing material (which is subject to copyrights), we decided at the last minute not to include it on the album. Now, we feel confident enough to finally release it.

This single is the first track to feature Felix Feuillette on the drums. So give him a warm welcome !

We would like to dedicate this single to the memory of mangaka Kazuki Takahashi, creator of Yu-Gi-Oh.
