""The lyrics of “The King in Yellow” are inspired by the short stories of Robert W. Chambers. The book (a play within the stories) appears in several of his tales and is described as a written work that, once the reader reaches the second act, causes madness and drives them to harm either those around them or themselves.

Even in the 19th century, when Chambers introduced this theme, a written work could be considered dangerous and harmful. Through the musical adaptation of these stories, we aim to offer a warning about something that is happening more and more frequently today.

The King in Yellow could now represent modern social media and the content shared there – dangerous challenges, bullying, hatred, and everything a sick mind can produce and anonymously publish online, where it becomes accessible without any control to the most vulnerable – our children, or people struggling with mental health.

Just as Chambers' King in Yellow influences its readers, today many of us can be similarly affected. More and more often, we hear about suicides, violence, bullying, and psychological manipulation – and in many cases, it is audiovisual content that serves as the motivation, the manual, and the tool. Content that is available to anyone.

With this song, we want to remind people that it’s not only weapons that can hurt. Sometimes, even a book can."

LYRICS -

Along the shore, the cloud waves break,
Twin suns sink beneath the lake,
Shadows lengthen in Carcosa,
In Carcosa.
Can you hear the whispered sound,
The cursed tome that calls to me?
Twin suns—or are they burning eyes?
A vile premonition, nowhere to flee.
Behind my eyes,
My mind screams.
With no way to stop, I see only fragments,
The pages turn, and my tears fall.
Suffocating fear, both joy and pain,
A distant call, for me alone.
I dance in stillness, without a single move,
Pain grows, as does joy, a subtle trance.
I am the chosen one,
Chosen by the Yellow Sign!
Beneath my skin, shadows writhe and creep,
A thousand voices scream where I should sleep.
The air turns thick with dread and despair,
As unseen eyes burn through me.
Visions dance, and reality shatters,
My mind unravels, all strength fades away.

The Yellow King whispers, quiet but menacing,
The yellow king whispers I´m too far beyond escape.

The pages guide me to shadow’s deep,
Where suns break on soil black as sleep.
Carcosa calls; its choir I hear,
My self dissolves, defiance unclear.
Now I’m a shadow, a dream’s faint gleam,
Faceless, nameless, lost in his scheme.
The King in Yellow welcomes me near,
I’m part of the void—its depths hold me here.
