NEW BAND SIGNING: Blackened Sludge/Doom Metal band Drofnosura from Canada
We're excited to work with Drofnosura who are melding multiple styles - sludge, doom, black and even post-metal - to create a cohesive, breathtaking, and evocative sound. The new album "Ritual of Split Tongues" is a huge step ahead both artistically and musically, a sprawling hour-long masterpiece of swirling, hypnotic, and eerily dissonant music bearing a common translucent body with constantly changing shades within. Listen to their comparatively short opening song for now.

Transcending Obscurity has long been home to a diverse range of high-quality acts across the extreme metal spectrum and has introduced us to numerous bands over the years.
Label esteem aside, knowing a bit about Kunal's background and the work he does running an animal sanctuary adds an extra layer of meaning to this alliance.
We feel privileged to fly under the Transcending Obscurity banner and to bring a little more weirdness to the fold with our own brand of bizarre darkness.
Our sophomore album, Ritual of Split Tongues, is a visceral and unrelenting sonic journey through dense dissonance, intricate drumming, evocative vocal performances, and haunting synthesized textures, creating a soundscape that defies convention. The album blurs the lines between sludge, doom, post-metal, and black metal to form a unique fusion that collapses under an oppressive, psychedelic weight."
