北海道発哀愁歌謡ノスタルジック・メロディック・デス・メタル・プロジェクト"Zemeth"。
今や様々な音楽ジャンルを展開するゼメスが贈る、メロディック・デス・メタルオンリーの2ndミニアルバムである。
ただ初心に帰るわけではなく今までに培ってきた色々な音楽の要素をメロデスと融合させた作品となった。
Zemethらしさを究極まで研ぎ澄ました"LACRIMOSA MORTIS"と"XENOPHILIA"。4thアルバム収録楽曲であった"HIBISKUS"はレゲトン・メロデスへと進化し再びこの世に降臨する。
モダンなサウンドでイエテボリスタイル由来のリフワークを披露する"THE FINAL GENERATION"。"EVERGREEN SAGA"はハーディ・ガーディの音色を取り入れたフォーキッシュ・メロデス。
タイトルトラックの"ETHEREAL MIRAGE"はZemethらしいメロディとシンフォニック・ブラックメタルを融合させた歌謡メロデスである。
これぞ全曲キラー・チューンのEPである。メロデスの新しい可能性を秘めた本作はZemethの次作へと続く布石となるだろう。
今作のアートワーク・デザインはリブユウキ氏が担当している。

“LACRIMOSA MORTIS” and “XENOPHILIA” are the ultimate refinement of the essence of Zemeth.
Originally featured on the 4th album, “HIBISKUS” returns reborn as a Reggaeton Melodic Death Metal.
“THE FINAL GENERATION” delivers Gothenburg-style riffwork with a modern sound.
“EVERGREEN SAGA” is a folkish melodeath piece featuring the haunting sound of a hurdy-gurdy.
The title track “ETHEREAL MIRAGE” blends Zemeth’s signature melodies with Symphonic Black Metal.
