Asaru

Asaru is a German-born black metal band, originally formed in 1995 in Darmstadt, Hesse, by Frank Nordmann. After a hiatus in 2007 when Nordmann moved to Oslo, the band was revived in 2009 with a fresh lineup. Known for uncompromising, atmospheric black metal deeply rooted in the Norwegian tradition, Asaru combines icy aggression with rich melodic structures and occasional thrash‑tinged elements, delivering an authentic and powerful sound.
